Online Blackjack Rules

Blackjack is a game that takes a lot of strategy and full participation on the part of the player. In any casino game, the casino always has the house advantage, or a higher probability of winning. Otherwise, everyone else would be rich and the casinos would go out of business. The trick to playing blackjack is to play using probability and try to beat the casino by making a better hand than the dealer and hoping that the dealer goes over. Your objective is to stay below or at 21. Using the following blackjack tips will give you a better chance of beating the odds and help you increase your profit, which is what every blackjack player wants to do.

Here I will explain some of the basic strategy system and blackjack tips used by a lot of well trained blackjack players. This blackjack strategy will up your chances of winning. This philosophy is based on what the dealer has showing, and will decide whether you take a card or stay to up your chances of winning.

In the worst possible situation, the dealer has an Ace showing. The first thing that happens before you get to pick whether or not to hit will be the dealer asking for insurance. When this happens, it means you have the chance to set half of your wager on the line, and get 50 percent back if the dealer gets blackjack. You can also insure for less. This just means that for every buck you set on the line you will get two bucks back. After the dealer looks and there is no blackjack, you will now have the opportunity to figure out what to do. In the case of an Ace, you will should take a card on anything under 17. If you have a 12, hit. 13, 14, 15, or 16, take a card. When you get to 17, stay. The reasoning behind this blackjack strategy is based on odds. An Ace counts as high and low, and therefore the dealer has many chances to make 21. Since your goal is to beat the dealer, you are assuming that the dealer will be able to get 21, and therefore you should try to get your hand as close to that as you can.

When the dealer shows a six, this is the best case scenario. If the dealer shows a four or five, those are the next best case scenarios. It gets to your turn, and you’re not sure what to do. Well, it depends on what you have in your hand. Anything up to eight, you will want to take a card. If you have a nine, 10, or 11, you will want to double down. If you don’t know what doubling down is, it is a way for you to double your winnings. You place an equal amount of money next to your bet, or less if you want to, and the dealer will then deal you one card turned sideways. Whatever you get, that’s what you’re stuck with. You won’t be able to hit anymore after that. If you have anything over 11, you will want to stay right there. Since the dealer has a good chance of going over, you don’t want to ruin your odds of making money by going over yourself. This is also important because you don’t want to take the dealers bust card.

With every hand, there is a blackjack strategy to use. If followed properly, you not only increase your odds of making money, but depending on the scenario, you may also increase the odds of making money for the everybody.
